Caring for the Hiqe outdoor barefoot shoes

Outdoor shoes are often exposed to high stresses when active. In addition, there is moisture through rain or wet substrates and strong UV loads. With the right care, your HIQE will accompany you for a long time and, even after many tours, will look almost like on the first day.
Our Hiqe barefoot shoes with mesh content
Most of our HIQE models consist of a combination of leather and mesh tissue or vegan material and mesh fabric. Everyone immediately makes sense that leather wants to be cared for. However, the other materials are at least as important in order to enjoy your barefoot shoes for a long time. With the right cleaning and care, you avoid cracks or brittle areas.
Cleaning and maintaining the mesh tissue
Light contamination can be easily removed with a soft brush. But how do you go with stubborn stains that are not so easy to brush away?
Quite simply, use a special cleaner that not only makes your barefoot shoes lightning, but at the same time maintains the mesh tissue. We advise against using household cleaners or detergent because they can make the material brittle.
To clean and maintain the mesh tissue, we recommend the following product from Collonil:

If you use this care foam regularly, you preserve the elasticity of the mesh tissue and prevent cracks in the material.
The application is quick and easy: shake can, spray foam on a cloth, work in the tissue and at the same time remove the stains. Then you let the care pull in and dry. Complete!
Impregnation of the mesh tissue
Our Hiqes are equipped with a waterproof inner membrane, but you should also treat them from the outside so that they reject water. This is how the upper material is spared in order to be able to use your barefoot shoes intensively at the next outdoor adventure.
With the impregnation, your HIQes are not only protected from penetrating moisture, they are also dirt -repellent. This is enough to briefly wipe over your barefoot shoes when it is dirty in order to get them again.

The care and cleaning of our vegan Hiqes is a child's play, because you can use the above -mentioned products and steps for the entire barefoot shoe.
Clean and maintain the areas made of leather properly
Most of our HIQE models consist of a mix of mesh tissue and leather. Depending on the model, it is either a smooth nappa leather or velvety suede. You maintain the leather separately according to these instructions:
We also have the following three models in the shop, which are made entirely of leather. Of course, the instructions for leather care also apply to these. Since these HIQes do not have a mesha content, you save the above -mentioned care instructions.
