Great winter and hiking shoes

I originally bought the shoes as winter shoes for my everyday life in a normal German city. Recently, relatively unexpectedly, I started a week-long hiking tour through the Austrian Alps. The organizer expressly insisted on “real” hiking shoes. At first I was skeptical as to whether barefoot shoes could meet the requirements, but I was completely convinced after the first day! No matter how impassable, over sticks and stones, through streams, mud and snow, the shoes stayed warm, dry and offered absolute gait and sure-footedness at all times. Since you can see the ground much better with the thin sole and there is much less weight on your feet, I was often one or two steps ahead of my companions with conventional hiking boots. And on the journey there and back I was able to stuff the shoes into my backpack without any problem, while the bulky, inflexible normal hiking boots had to dangle annoyingly on the outside of the backpack. I am absolutely thrilled and am already looking forward to next winter!
