I am completely satisfied with this shoe. I tried it out in the Harz on steep and sometimes scree paths. Conclusion: Very non-slip shoe, sharp stones are easy to notice, but for me they are completely insignificant.
So I took her on a 14-day mountain and levada trip to Madeira. Mountains: Pico do Ariero and Pico Ruivo. All participants were skeptical and ultimately very curious because I had absolutely no problems. Non-slip, waterproof and completely comfortable. I didn't experience any twisting. But I could imagine that a slightly higher shaft could provide a more secure hold.
From me: great, comfortable, safe hiking shoes. Won't be my last.

Barefoot shoes that look great and are very well made. Durability still needs to be tested in the next few months, but I'm positive as the quality is good. Will buy more shoes!

HIQE Mid Ocean Waterproof is my absolute favorite shoe. It is super soft and comfortable for hiking. I'm currently even using it for gardening because I have a good grip and the shoe is waterproof. I would like this version to also be available as a low shoe.

I'm just carrying ZAQQ Shoes since around 2009. In the first few years there were still intermediate sizes. I miss that!

The HIQE is my first barefoot outdoor shoe. For about three weeks I've been wearing it every day on my long dog walks in the forest, sometimes through the undergrowth and across wet meadows and recently even through light snow. So far I've always worn hiking boots with relatively firm soles, but I've had increasing problems in the toe area. The feather-light running feeling in the HIQE feels wonderful! I'm totally thrilled! I can feel the ground, but the soles of my feet are well protected. I find the light cushioning very pleasant. My toes have enough space, I don't feel the hallux even when I wear them for long periods of time and so far my feet have stayed dry and warm. And the shoe looks good too. They won't be my last ZAQQ Shoes stay! My foot length is between two sizes according to the size chart ZAQQ. I decided on the larger shoe size and am very happy with it.

After two weeks of intensive hiking, I can only praise the hiking boots. The barefoot feeling is just right, the shoe is nice and stable and the look is also appealing. Even in difficult terrain, I always felt safe and comfortable - that's how it should be.

C'est ma deuxième paire de mid Hiqe ; The comfort and aesthetics are at the top and the pair are available during a good moment to be used throughout the day and on a trip to the plush mountains. Recommend!

Best shoes

I've been looking for outdoor and waterproof barefoot shoes for a long time and... ZAQQ Grabbed it. So far super satisfied. I use them for biking, golfing, and tinkering. And so far I’m super happy, if they stay waterproof, I will buy here again.

I wear the boots during dog walks. I’m also on wet meadows. So far, the shoes have held up super well. I’m curious how they will look after a year.

I was looking for waterproof autumn/winter shoes, hesitated between these and the Daqota.
These seemed more suitable for rough terrain.
They are super soft, the lacing allows a perfect fit on the foot, and despite being "big shoes" there’s still a barefoot feeling, which I did not at all expect.
Not tested in rough terrain yet, but they are city-suitable.
I wear 40/41, ordered them in 40, they fit great, but no thick wool socks would fit in them anymore.
And they are also rather warm; I wore them for the last 3-4 hours in 18° rain, which was fine, but for longer periods, better at cooler temperatures.

I am currently wearing the shoe daily on walks with my dog. It really doesn't pinch anywhere, is totally warm and waterproof. Exactly what I was looking for. And it also looks stylish.

This shoe is certainly the best winter shoe I have ever had. Waterproof, windproof, and incredibly warm. Super comfortable, I wear it very casually on my foot. The soles are unusually thick for barefoot shoes, but I have to say that I have come to appreciate that over time. Especially in winter. However, this shoe is only for outdoor use down to temperatures of 8-10 degrees at most. Wearing it for hours in the office is not possible, it starts to make you sweat. This will not be the last pair of Zaqq shoes I have..

The shoes fit perfectly. I measured my foot with the guide and was exactly at the upper limit for size 40. We then decided to order the 41. Shipping was super fast. Tried on the shoes and immediately thrilled. I cannot say anything about the waterproofness yet. But the general workmanship is very high quality at first glance. It certainly won't be my first and last pair of Zaqq shoes.

I'm thrilled! The shoes are incredibly comfortable, inside quite soft and cuddly, outside as robust as a trekking shoe, but totally light, so that it is an everyday shoe for me and I do not like to wear anything else! I am particularly happy with zaqq to have finally found shoes in which my wide feet fit without constricting them, are waterproof, mega comfortable and look beautiful. And also made in Germany. All respect for the great work! I chose a number larger for this model.

I wanted something for shorter hikes, daily dog walks, and running across wet meadows. That's why I switched from light hiking shoes to these. Insanely comfortable, you can't say it any other way. They are also great for camping; they came with me to Norway and to a festival. I can walk forever in them and feel various muscles. So far my most comfortable barefoot brand, even though my regular size 41 somehow felt too small here and my 42 is now a little big. No blisters, nothing. And waterproof!

I've had the shoes for a few weeks now and have hiked up to 50 km in them at a time. I didn't suffer any blisters or pressure sores. With my previous shoes I always had problems with pressure points on my little toes, but I don't have anything like that here. The shoes are light, comfortable, warm and so far completely waterproof. And they look good too. I haven't really been on an alpine ride with them yet, but all other surfaces (asphalt, dirt road, meadow, forest floor, sand) are absolutely unproblematic.
I'm thrilled! That won't have been with Zaqq's last pair.

Not my first pair of barefoot shoes ZAQQ; I was looking for shoes for hiking and longer walks and finally decided on these! After changing the size again (I usually wear a 39, here it's now a 41!), it fits perfectly and the first tour was a few kilometers long. Comfortable, your feet warm (it was still pretty cold outside) and just perfect! Now the shoe cupboard is emptying out when it comes to “normal” shoes and you have to be careful not to order too many ZAQQs, simply because they are so beautiful and comfortable!!
Now I'm looking forward to getting my ballerinas (LOOQ nude, in 40) out again!

The first barefoot shoe that I am completely satisfied with. Totally comfortable, the sole is not quite as thin as some others that caused me problems. And even though it's a very light shoe, it's really warm. I've worn it in the snow and slush for the last few weeks and always kept my feet warm and dry. Can only warmly recommend him.

The HIQE keeps me comfortable, warm and dry through the cold and wet times.
He has already undergone various endurance tests: I go for an ice bath and of course my feet are really cold afterwards. Thanks to the great, flexible sole and freedom to the toes, your feet will be well supplied with blood and warm up again quite quickly during the subsequent walk. Even after wet sand when walking on the beach, rain or snow, even after heavy slush on the street, my feet were always dry. And that is extremely important to me!
Finally a waterproof winter barefoot shoe! I would happily recommend him.

My 2nd pair of barefoot shoes. And what can I say? I'm totally thrilled. Since I travel a lot with my dogs, I was looking for a waterproof pair. And I haven't regretted it so far. After a few weeks in the shoes, my feet have recovered really well despite my splayfoot arches. No more aching feet and fat legs in the evening. Insoles are (hopefully) a thing of the past and running is fun again. I'll be ordering a new pair for spring.

Unpacked and already excited. Mega slipping feeling. I have only been wearing barefoot shoes for 3 years. Both from zaqq (piquant) as well as other manufacturers. After 6 (six!) attempts to get decent winter barefoot shoes, I finally found what I was looking for. Quality, style and comfort - perfect. So, my first barefoot shoes! If only I had known beforehand how light and comfortable these shoes are! I was skeptical at first, but now I'm completely convinced. I can't say anything about their durability yet, as I haven't had the shoes for that long. I mainly bought them for walking my dog, but now I almost always wear them. Even in the cold (around minus 3 degrees) they're nice and warm with thin socks comfortable!! Even the Christmas stroll with my wife that lasted several hours ended without sweaty feet or foot pain! I'm eagerly waiting for spring so I can treat myself to a new pair of low shoes!
